German police shot dead a frenzied knife-wielding knife on Sunday inside Berlin’s cathedral, authorities dismissing any “terrorist” motivation behind the incident.

The man, a 53-year-old Austrian, “had a leg injury,” the police said. He was “neutralized” after provoking a panic in the religious building: armed with a knife, he began to cause damage inside the cathedral.

According to witnesses, quoted by the German media, the man was feeling a great “confusion”.

“We have as yet no indication that it may be a near or far act of terrorism or Islamist motivation on the part of this man,” said AFP a spokesman word of the police.

This attack occurred near a church.

At the end of July 2017, an asylum seeker who was being turned down killed one person in a supermarket and wounded six others, an act justified in justice by “radical Islamism”. “.

And at the end of October, German police arrested a 19-year-old Syrian suspected of planning a “serious bomb attack”.
